Eccole le nomination per i Golden Globes del 2026. Tutto come previsto, o quasi. Leonardo Di Caprio, Benicio Del Toro, Stellan Skarsgard, Elle Fanning, Jacob Elordi, Jessie Buckley, Ariana Grande e Cynthia Erivo, Wagner Moura, ma c’è pure la Julia Roberts di “After the Hunt” di Luca Guadagnino per salvare un po’ d’orgoglio di cinema italiano.

 

Guida, come era chiaro, “Una battaglia dopo l’altra” di Paul Thomas Anderson con ben nove nomination, miglior film comedy/musical (a me sembrava politico), regia, sceneggiatura, musica, e ben cinque attori, Leonardo DiCaprio, Benicio del Toro, Chase Infiniti, Sean Penn e la bombastica Teyana Taylor. Nella sua categoria, comedy/musical se la vedrà quindi con "Blue Moon" e Nouvelle Vague” di Richard Linklater, "Bugonia" di Yorgos Lanthimos, "Marty Supreme" di Josh Safdie, "No Other Choice" di Park Chang Wook".

Come numero di candidature lo segue il norvegese “Sentimental Value” di Joachim Trier con otto candidature, miglior film drammatico, regia, film straniero, sceneggiatura, e ben quattro attori, Stellan Skarsgard, Renate Reinsvee, Elle Fanning e Inga IbsdotterLilleaas. Trionfo per il cinema nordico.

 

Sette nomination per “Sinners” di Ryan Coogler, miglior film drammatico, regia, miglior evento, protagonista, Michael B. Jordan in doppio ruolo, sceneggiatura, musica e canzone. Sei candidature per il shakespeariano “Hamnet” di Chloe Zhao, miglior film drammatico, regia, attrice e attore protagonista, Jessie Buckley e Paul Mescal, musica e sceneggiatura.

Cinque per “Frankenstein” di Guillermo Del Toro, film drammatico, regia, attore protagonista e non protagonista, Oscar Isaac e Jacob Elordi, musica. Quattro per “Un semplice incidente” di Jafar Panahi, film drammatico, film straniero, sceneggiatura.

 

Nel cinema, insomma, non ci sono novità. A parte il grande funzionamento anche quest’anno del cinema brasiliano che lancia “The Secret Agent” di Kleber Mendonça Filho, nominato come miglior film straniero, miglior film drammatico, miglior protagonista, cioè Wagner Moura, che diventa così il primo attore brasiliano che sia mai stato candidato ai Golden Globes.

“After the Hunt” di Luca Guadagnino ottiene una sola nomination, ma strepitosa, quella di Julia Roberts come protagonista. Se la vedrà con talenti del calibro di Jessie Buckley, "Hamnet", Jennifer Lawrence, "Die My Love", Renate Reinsve, "Sentimental Value", Tessa Thompson, "Hedda", Eva Victor per "Sorry, Baby".

 

Da protagonista non protagonista Cynthia Erivo e Ariana Grande ottengono la loro seconda nomination in due anni per lo stesso ruolo, quello cioè che interpretavano l’anno scorso in “Wicked”.

 

I PECCATORI

Richard Linklater, abbiamo visto, è candidato per ben due film, categoria comedy/musical. Jacob Elordi è candidato sia nel cinema, come non protagonista per “Frankenstein”, sia in tv con “The Narrow Road to the Deep North”. E la Neon, che distribuisce i film stranieri, si ritrova cinque titoli fra i cinque nominati come miglior film straniero. Di sicuro uno dei suoi vincerà.

 

Ma la vera novità sono le attrici emergenti, le nere Teyana Taylor e Chase Infiniti, la new entry della strepitosa Amy Madigan nell’horror “Weapons”. Dispiace non trovarci Wunmi Mosaku, la strega buona di “Sinners”.

Nelle categorie televisive sono in gara le serie davvero più amate dal pubblico. “The White Lotus” ha cinque nomination, miglior serie drammatica, e quattro attori, Carrie Coon, WalterGoggins, Parker Posey, Aimé Lou Wood e Jason Isaac. ”Severance” ne ha tre, miglior serie, e due attori. Ma sia la navigata “Slow Horses” che la più innovativa “Pluribus” che la forte “The Pitt” ne hanno due a testa.

 

Tra le miniserie troviamo titoli che stiamo vedendo in questi giorni in tv, come "Adolescence", "All Her Fault" con Sarah Snook, "The Beast in Me", "Black Mirror", "Dying for Sex", "The Girlfriend".
